Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information I collect through www.foxdoes.travel (the “site”), how I use it, and who I share it with. Fox Does Travel is my brand name. The site is operated by Fox Forlenza, an Affiliate of MEI-Travel. In this policy, “I,” “me” and “my” mean Fox Forlenza, an Affiliate of MEI-Travel.

Information you give me through my forms

My quote, contact and group-trip forms ask for the following. Required fields are marked on each form.

Your name and email address
Your phone number (optional on most forms)
Trip details you choose to share, such as trip type, destinations, travel dates or month, number of travelers, cruise line or resort preferences, occasion, budget and any notes
One required choice, “How would you like to receive your quote?”, with two options: Email or Phone call. I use your answer only to send your quote the way you asked. There is also one separate, optional newsletter checkbox, unchecked by default: “Yes, send me my travel newsletter with tips and deals (unsubscribe anytime).” Your quote preference and your newsletter choice (“Yes” or left blank) are recorded with your submission, along with the date and time you submitted the form. I do not send text messages.
Some forms ask you to confirm you agree to be contacted about your request

Please do not enter payment card numbers, passport numbers or other sensitive details in my website forms. I will collect what a booking needs through a secure process when you get to that step.

Spam protection

My forms include a hidden “honeypot” field that people never see. If an automated program fills it in, the submission is discarded. Some forms also use Google reCAPTCHA v3, which checks whether a visitor looks like a person or a bot. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information, such as device and browser data, and sends it to Google. Your use of reCAPTCHA is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Comments, if you leave one, may be checked by the Akismet spam-filtering service.

How I use your information

To reply to your request, prepare quotes and plan and book your travel
To contact you by email about your request. If you ticked the call box, I may also call you about your trip
To send you travel deals, tips and updates, or my newsletter, only if you ticked those boxes
To keep records of my conversations with you and bookings, and to meet legal, tax and supplier requirements
To protect the site and my forms from spam and abuse

I do not contact anyone by text message (SMS), and my forms do not collect consent for text messages.

Automatic confirmation emails

I plan to add an automatic email that confirms I received your form. It is not switched on yet. When it is, it will only be sent to the email address you entered, and it will only be about your request.

Who I share your information with

MEI-Travel. I am an affiliate of MEI-Travel (Mahnken Enterprises Inc. d/b/a MEI-Travel), the host agency I book through. Form submissions are emailed to my MEI-Travel email address, and booking details are shared with MEI-Travel to process and support your reservations.
Travel suppliers. When you book, I share the details a booking needs with the cruise lines, resorts, hotels, airlines, tour operators and travel-protection providers involved.
Service providers. These include my website host, my email providers, Google (for reCAPTCHA) and Automattic (for Akismet). If you sign up for my newsletter, your name and email address may be stored with an email-marketing service, such as Mailchimp, so I can send it.
Legal reasons. I may share information if the law requires it, or to protect my rights or the safety of others.

I do not sell your personal information, and I do not share it with third parties for their own advertising.

Cookies and analytics

This site does not currently use Google Analytics, advertising pixels or any other analytics or tracking tools. WordPress may set functional cookies, for example to remember your name and email if you leave a comment. Google reCAPTCHA, which runs on pages with certain forms, may set or read Google cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some forms may not work without reCAPTCHA. If I add analytics in the future, I will update this policy first.

Your choices

Unsubscribe: every marketing email and newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, or you can email me and I will remove you
Calls: tell me at any time to stop calling and I will
Access, correction or deletion: email me to ask what I hold about you, or to correct or delete it. I may need to keep some records, such as booking and payment records, where the law or a supplier requires it

How long I keep information and how I protect it

I keep form submissions and booking records for as long as I need them to help you and to meet legal, tax and supplier obligations. The site uses HTTPS encryption. No website or email system is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive details through web forms or email.

Children

This site is meant for adults planning travel. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the site. Details about children traveling in your party are collected only from a parent or guardian, for booking purposes.

Links to other sites

My site links to other websites, such as MEI-Travel, cruise lines, my booking calendar and social media. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.

Changes to this policy

If I change this policy, I will post the new version here and update the “Last updated” date above.
